Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing and Social Care

GBS Global Applied Knowledge is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing and Social Care to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge and practical experience in the field, with a strong track record of teaching and curriculum development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across a range of health and social care modules, contributing to curriculum development, and providing support and feedback to students. They will also be expected to be flexible and able to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met
  • Develop, update and improve course materials as required
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods, including live online learning
  • Attend meetings as required, contributing to decision-making and developing productive working relationships
  • Participate in staff development activities and peer observations
  • Understand and keep up to date with student support, ensuring students have the guidance they need
  • Participate in the GBS performance management programme, meeting clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, satisfaction, retention and attendance
  • Undertake administrative duties as agreed with your line manager

Requirements:

  • Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area
  • Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
