About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting and Advisory Services Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Accounting, Insight and Advisory (AIA) team, providing exceptional client service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of accountants and advisory professionals, providing coaching, training, and mentoring to enhance their skills and facilitate their professional growth.
  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent client service and building strong relationships.
  • Monitor and manage conflicting workloads for team members, prioritizing requirements to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Project manage engagements, driving timelines, managing clients and teams, and ensuring delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure agreed deadlines are met and significant issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Take ownership of risk management and establish close working relationships with primary client contacts.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years post-qualification experience as a Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA).
  • Working experience of UK GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Strong technical skills, including FRS 102 and FRS 105 experience.
  • Working knowledge of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and/or other cloud accounting packages.
  • Good organization skills, ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
