Job Description

As a Financial and Strategic Advisory Manager at RSM, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality services to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical accounting, financial reporting, and business advisory services to clients, with a focus on UK GAAP and IFRS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex accountancy projects, including IFRS transition consultancy work, acquisition accounting, and complex consolidations.
  • Client Service: Act as a focal point of contact with clients, communicating problems and potential solutions to the assignment manager and/or partner.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients and projects, including client care responsibilities, project management, and WIP/billing management.
  • Team Supervision: Coach junior team members in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with FRS 102, FRS 101, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.

As a manager, you will have the opportunity to develop further skill sets, including business development and coaching of junior staff. You will also work with a variety of colleagues and businesses across the UK, supporting your local office.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: ACA Qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience: UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting experience, with a background in a professional practice or equivalent accounting advisory team.
  • Skills: Strong project management and organisational skills, with experience of working with clients and supervision of junior staff.
