Marine Mammal Observer Position

Job Summary
The Gardline Group is seeking a highly skilled Marine Mammal Observer to join our team. As a Marine Mammal Observer, you will be responsible for leading and undertaking a wide variety of marine wildlife surveys, including marine mammal observations and passive acoustic monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and undertake marine wildlife surveys, including marine mammal observations and passive acoustic monitoring
- Provide general assistance to project managers, lead scientists, and report writers with the production of marine wildlife reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Good understanding of marine mammals and seabirds, including their biology and identification
- Good understanding of marine mammal acoustics
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel and work on location for extended periods
