Job Summary

Narrative Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled Media Contracts Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commercial department, you will play a vital role in managing our content licensing and commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Review and Creation: Draft, amend, and summarize agreements to ensure alignment with our business needs and regulatory policies.
  • Deal Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date deals database, tracking key deal terms and upcoming renewals for renegotiation.
  • Data Protection: Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and ensure data protection policies and procedures are in place and followed.
  • Commercial and Legal Support: Assess commercial and legal aspects of new and existing agreements, supporting contract negotiations and identifying potential risks or challenges.
  • External Liaison: Maintain relationships with external legal counsel and liaise with them as needed for legal support.
  • Market and Regulatory Changes: Stay informed about regulatory and policy changes impacting our business, communicating their impact to relevant stakeholders and driving required changes.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative and legal support for ad-hoc projects and serve as the first point of contact for legal and regulatory queries, including GDPR.

Requirements

  • Contract experience, preferably in the media and entertainment industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driven, motivated, and confident attitude with the ability to use initiative.
  • Keen learner looking to develop understanding of the media landscape and business growth drivers of a broadcaster and streaming service.
  • Highly organized, adept at multitasking, and flexible with daily or ad-hoc duties.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under time pressure while maintaining high standards.
