We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Law Enforcement Officer. As a key member of our enforcement team, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety and order in our borough.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake relevant duties as a dual badged Law Enforcement Officer and Civil Enforcement Officer, ensuring effective enforcement of laws and regulations.
- Conduct proactive patrol duties, focusing on high levels of enforcement and investigation activities to address crime and disorder, anti-social behavior, and environmental issues.
- Investigate and respond to member inquiries, service requests, complaints, and taskings, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Collaborate with police, fire, and other statutory partners, council services, and external agencies to prevent, tackle, or resolve crime and disorder, anti-social behavior, and environmental issues.
- Maximize patrol visibility to achieve outcomes as detailed in the relevant service plan and priorities, appraisal, taskings, or directions.
- Work outside normal office hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays, to meet service requirements.
- Exercise the use of a range of criminal enforcement powers, including Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) and Civil Enforcement Officer powers.
- Maintain high standards of service delivery, ensuring timely and professional responses, updates, and communications to residents, businesses, and others.
- Ensure adherence to HR and other policies and procedures, attending training, briefing sessions, individual and team meetings as required, and completing records in respect of hours of duty, leave, incidents, and sickness.
- Organize workload, time, and performance effectively, as required by any manager or supervisor, to meet service requirements.
- Ensure accurate preparation of civil and criminal legal case files for legal proceedings, giving evidence in Court or other legal hearings as required.
- Undertake and successfully complete initial noise nuisance training, responding to noise nuisance calls in line with service requirements.
- Possession of a current and valid Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) certificate is welcome; if not held, CSAS security checks will be undertaken during mobilization, and the passing of CSAS will be required during the first six months of probation period.
- Full current manual driving license is required; provisional driving licenses will not be accepted.
