Bakkavor, a leading provider of fresh prepared food in the UK, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its expanding Engineering team at the Bakkavor Desserts site in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will contribute to technical performance reviews and continuous improvement activities, working closely with other teams to ensure optimal asset utilization.

As a key member of the Nights Engineering Section, you will be responsible for conducting planned maintenance of processing and packaging assets, including predictive maintenance through condition-based monitoring. You will also identify faults and take corrective action, manufacture and repair component parts as required, and participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize assets or processes.

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering apprenticeship (C&G / EAL NVQ Level 3 / 4 or OAL FDEM Diploma) and possess current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations (C&G Level 3, achieved within 12 months). Experience in mechanical principles, F&D assets, welding, machining, turning, hydraulic, pneumatic & thermodynamics systems, and electrical principals, motors, motor control circuits, motion control, encoders, PLCs, and sensors would be advantageous.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £43,000-£52,000 per annum, based on the national average for similar positions in the UK.
