About the Role

ASOS is seeking an experienced Senior Data Privacy Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Data Protection and Privacy team, you will provide expert advice on data protection laws and regulations, ensuring ASOS meets its obligations across the globe.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expert advice on data protection laws and regulations.
  • Assist with embedding policy and training in relation to personal data.
  • Advise the business on data subject access requests and other requests for information or complaints involving personal data.
  • Input to new projects by conducting privacy impact assessments and providing initial advice.
  • Review and update privacy notices.
  • Advising ASOS in relation to its broader data strategy.
  • Support our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in data protection laws and associated legislation.
  • In-depth understanding of and experience advising on privacy laws and regulations in relation to marketing and advertising.
  • A good understanding of contract negotiations and drafting ability.
  • Experience undertaking risk-based privacy impact assessments, developing proportionate remediation plans, and providing advice to the business.
  • Appreciation of eCommerce business processes and risks.
  • A 'get up and go' attitude – someone who takes the initiative, is self-motivated and driven; someone with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Adaptability and ability to prioritise conflicting demands.
  • Proven ability to understand and provide incisive, reliable, and commercially sound advice and solutions on complex business issues.
