About The Role
As an Environmental Advisor at EKFB, you will play a crucial role in delivering the HS2 contract requirements relating to environmental management. This exciting opportunity will require you to work closely with the Environment Manager to ensure compliance with noise trigger levels and water quality discharge consent conditions.
You will be responsible for providing support to the supply chain in delivering HS2 contractual requirements, identifying opportunities for implementing best practice and innovation to achieve cost and programme efficiencies and risk mitigation. Your achievements will be recorded in best practice case studies.
You will be the main point of contact for project managers for geographic areas and support the environment manager in communications with external stakeholders in relation to HS2 environmental contract requirements, including consent granting bodies.
You will undertake assurance in accordance with EKFB management processes, including document control, audit, non-conformance, surveillance inspections and incidents. In consultation with the project manager and commercial team, you will also provide support to suppliers to ensure that sustainability data and reports and vehicle and plant use data is submitted on time, complete and accurate.
You must provide specialist advice to project managers for geographic areas in relation to HS2 contract environmental requirements, EKFB management processes, and any other legal requirements. Additionally, you will identify requirements and support delivery of training and awareness briefings to EKFB colleagues and suppliers.
