About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QHSE Advisor to join our team at Hitachi Energy UK Limited. As a key member of our QHSE team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments.
  • Investigate accidents and environmental incidents, and liaise with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide advice and training on safety protocols, and conduct audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety.
  • Maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by our environmental performance.
  • Collaborate with the wider Hitachi Energy team to ensure a consistent and seamless delivery of QHSE support.

Requirements

  • Relevant associated qualification in QHSE.
  • Experience of policies and procedures to ensure people are not harmed by their jobs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of investigating and reporting accidents.
  • Ability to provide knowledge and guidance on how to comply with the law.
  • Experience of working with diverse teams to develop, manage, and monitor QHSE performance.
