Key Responsibilities:- Planned Maintenance: Perform thorough planned preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Reactive Maintenance: Respond quickly to unscheduled breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing timely repairs.
- Maximo Management: Raise maintenance work orders and ensure accurate records for audit and review purposes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks and mechanical inefficiencies, proposing and implementing improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Stock Management: Monitor and update stores systems to maintain optimum stock levels of critical parts and materials.
- Project Support: Assist with new machinery installations and collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Team Collaboration: Work with the Shift Engineering Team Leader and production team to meet daily targets and resolve engineering issues.
- Escalation of Issues: Promptly escalate major equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
- Compliance & Safety: Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard.
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair, with proficiency in reading engineering drawings and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with automation, robotics, and other advanced technologies.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine alignment.
- Electrical experience, including wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting control systems.
- Competency in working with PLCs, variable speed drives, and other control systems.
- Familiarity with tools and diagnostic equipment for electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Problem-Solving: Methodical approach to troubleshooting, with the ability to work under pressure to quickly identify and fix faults.
- Team Player: Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments, providing engineering support and ensuring smooth handovers.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure accurate reporting and handovers.
- Self-Motivated: Able to take initiative, work autonomously, and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and multiple tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in planned maintenance tasks and resolving breakdowns, ensuring no small detail is overlooked.
