Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking a legal officer to support the council's response to property, procurement, and contract law matters.

The role involves drafting documents and providing technical support to the council as property owners and procurement and contract advice for contractors, goods, and services.

The successful candidate will play a key role in securing income generation for the council, including income streams from lettings of council properties and procurement and contract advice.

Timely completion of legal documentation is required to ensure income streams are brought on board at the earliest opportunity.

The team drafts and advises on procurement and contracts law for contractors, goods, and services.

The role will support the day-to-day activities necessary for the efficient and effective handling of property, procurement, and contract law matters in accordance with legislation.

A good working knowledge of property or procurement and contract law transactions is required.
