Job Details

We are seeking an experienced care assistant to join our team at a beautiful care home in Bolsover. The successful candidate will work alongside a friendly and experienced team to deliver high-quality care to up to 24 residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily life and personal care, supporting their physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Engage in activities to promote the highest quality of life and provide company and emotional support.
  • Undertake moving and handling duties on a regular basis, using equipment such as hoists, slings, stand aids, and rotundas.
Working Hours

The successful candidate will work 07:00 to 14:15 or 14:00 to 22:00 over the weekends. Due to the location of the care home, we are looking for applicants within the local area or with their own transport.

Pay and Benefits

The pay rate for this role is £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 to 19:00 and £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 to 07:00.

Requirements
  • 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates, including Practical moving and handling training.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the update service.
  • Minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep.
