Job Title: Manufacturing Operative

Job Summary: CMR & Life Sciences is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment and be familiar with using hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate within a manufacturing environment to construct products according to company standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with Senior or Team Leaders to review air handling drawings before construction, ensuring all required materials and casework are present to meet the build plan.
  • Maintain and improve quality standards by inspecting throughout the manufacturing process. Report any concerns to Senior Operatives or Team Leaders to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Assist with rework of piece parts or final assemblies as needed, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Keep tools and working areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards, ensuring respect and maintenance of the workspace.
  • Assist in developing new and improved products by providing constructive feedback to enhance product features and build qualities.
  • Follow all relevant signs, instructions, and procedures to ensure health and safety compliance within the working area.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment.
  • Familiarity with using hand tools for completing tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Good communication skills.

Employment Terms:

  • Initial Duration: 3 months, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.
  • Working Hours: 6am - 2pm (Monday to Friday).
  • Pay Rate: £11.54 - £12.31 per hour (depending on experience).
