Manufacturing Operative

**Purpose of role**
To successfully maintain the manufacturing schedules and improve efficiencies. To contribute towards the manufacturing strategy of “On time in full, at Best Quality, Lowest Total Cost, Shortest Lead Time and High Morale; through optimizing production flow by eliminating any waste.
**Roles and responsibilities**
- Operating efficiently within a manufacturing environment, constructing our product, whilst conforming to our standard operating procedures and policies, setting a good example to your co-workers, creating a good working environment.
- Working with your Team Leader and or Supervisor to support the daily production plans to ensure builds are on track to meet agreed end dates.
- Ensuring your team are always Operating safely and conforming to Business Health and Safety standards.
- To mentor and offer technical support to a small group of manufacturing operatives within the manufacturing environment. Review the air handling drawing prior to construction with the operatives ensuring all required materials and casework is present to meet the agreed build plan unless otherwise agreed.
- To maintain and improve best quality standards, inspecting throughout the manufacturing process, reporting any concerns to the manufacturing Team Leader or Supervisor to effectively come to a resolution to prevent impacting on time delivery at best quality.
- To assist with rework of piece parts or final assemblies as and when required ensuring quality standards are adhered to.
- To assist in the development of new and improved products and offering constructive feedback and input to enhance the development or better the products feature and build qualities.
- To assist in the development and training of new and improved techniques and procedures used in the manufacturing environment.
- Assist the Manufacturing Team Leader & Supervisor in reviewing the Work Centre and routes for Bespoke products. Identifying route times so the information can be feedback into our supporting tools such as CCSI to help drive Route time accuracy at time of scheduling.
- Always Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor with development of the area and help drive improvements to better the area and the workflow process whilst considering health and safety.
- Ensure all tools and working area are respected and maintained, to keep clean and tidy and free from hazards.
- To support and conduct with new staff onboarding and training to meet agreed efficiency levels in agreed time frames.
**Other**:
- Support with ongoing personal training and development.
- Maintain the companies Health and Safety policies.
- All other reasonable requests made by your line Team Leader, Supervisor and or Manager.
- To be flexible with overtime where needed to support the department.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £22,155.00-£27,430.00 per year
