Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Advisor to join our team in the Liverpool area.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced client payroll professional to contribute to the growth of Portfolio Payroll Limited. As a Payroll Advisor, you will play a key role in managing multiple client payrolls and providing exceptional support to clients and internal contacts.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Administer day-to-day activities for small to medium-sized multiple client payrolls with minimal supervision, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  2. Maintain knowledge of statutory payroll legislation and perform manual calculations as required.
  3. Develop relationships and provide support to clients and internal contacts on payroll-related queries.
  4. Understand pension auto-enrolment compliance principles.
  5. Liaise with HMRC and other third-party organisations to resolve client queries.
  6. Raise accurate bills to clients in a timely manner.
  7. Communicate any issues or problems promptly to the Payroll Manager for further action.
  8. Support other team members when needed and use initiative to resolve problems.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information at all times.
  10. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
  11. Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and inform clients of any relevant updates.
Benefits and Salary
  1. A competitive salary of approximately £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week, typically between 9:00am and 5:00pm, with one hour unpaid break.
