Job Description

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team in Glasgow City Centre. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage financial reports for the board of directors, including divisional reporting for joint ventures and internal divisions.
  • External Reporting: Prepare and submit quarterly external reports to regulatory bodies, including the Office of National Statistics, HMRC, and banks.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Ensure accurate and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • VAT & CIS Returns: Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for multiple registrations and monthly CIS returns.
  • Audit Assistance: Assist with the audit process, from planning to completion, and prepare statutory accounts.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a small team of finance professionals, ensuring targets are met, transactions are controlled, and junior staff receive training and development opportunities.
  • Financial Control: Provide support and training to the wider finance community, ensuring adherence to accounting and HMRC guidelines, and implementing additional controls as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record in a financial environment, with experience managing a small team.
  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102 Accounting Standards, advanced Excel skills, and experience using MS Office.
  • Organised, numerate, and accurate, with strong financial awareness, interpersonal skills, and IT proficiency.
