Financial Reporting Manager

Anderson Knight is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our client, a leading Scottish hospitality group. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the group's financial records and maintaining the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee activity in contracts throughout the month, including the preparation of month-end journals for correct profit release, accruals, prepayments, and central cost recharges.
  • Prepare monthly management reports for the board of directors, including divisional reporting for joint ventures and internal divisions.
  • Prepare quarterly external reports.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately.
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and monthly CIS returns.
  • Assist with the audit process from planning through to completion and prepare statutory accounts.
  • Lead and manage a small team of employees, ensuring targets are met, transactions and balance sheets are controlled, and junior staff receive training and development.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a financial environment, with experience managing a small team. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills are essential. Knowledge of the hospitality sector is preferred but not essential.
