At CBSbutler, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to take on a pivotal role in the manufacturing process.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics test and manufacturing engineering, with a strong background in mechanical manufacturing philosophies and electrical assembly.

Key responsibilities include problem-solving on the production line, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving efficiency through process optimization.

In return, you can expect a competitive salary of £42,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits.

Main Accountabilities:

Problem solving on the line – component level fault finding to structured analysis to identify longer term production and performance issues

  • Work with manufacturing and supply teams on all issues and problems of a technical nature, driving these to full root cause with sustainable corrective actions in place.
  • Investigate document and report faults with customer owned products. Implementing improvements to solve documented faults.
  • At all points during production process give manufacturing technical input.
  • Challenge conventions in order to ensure continuous improvements, especially with regard to manufacturing cost and ease of manufacture.

Manufacturing process development and analysis

  • Assist manufacturing in creating balanced lines with the flexibility to change dependant on the production requirements.
  • Review, update, write and clear and concise work instructions (SOP's) for use by the Operations area.
  • Create and update configuration control documents and all product manufacturing standard times.
  • Write and review process FMEA & control plans and complete Risk Assessments, close the loop on identified actions.
  • Develop mid to long range improvement plans for both product and process, working with the relevant stakeholders
