As a Support Worker with Carlisle Mencap, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide personalized support and care to service users, promoting their autonomy and dignity.
  • To work collaboratively with service users to create and implement care plans.
  • To facilitate service users' participation in community activities and leisure pursuits.

Requirements:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • RQF Level 2 in Adult Care or relevant qualification
  • Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
  • Ability to use sign language like Makaton
  • Full driving license
  • Familiarity with the local community
