Job Overview

SEMH Teaching Assistant Role - Gainsborough, Lincolnshire

Milk Education is recruiting a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in an independent school. This is a full-time position on a temporary to permanent basis, requiring the candidate to start as soon as possible.

This role involves working with students on a small group and 1:1 basis, promoting inclusion and acceptance among all students, and creating a safe learning environment. De-escalating challenging behavior through building trusting relationships is also a key responsibility.

The successful candidate will have recent experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH. A passion for education and ability to work under the guidance of the teacher are essential qualities.
