Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Governance Co-ordinator to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

Main Duties

As a Radiology Governance Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing governance advice and support to the radiology management team
  • Ensuring effective and responsive administration in the care group governance agenda
  • Providing regular reports on governance activity to the care group and division
  • Identifying, communicating, and escalating themes to ensure appropriate action is taken in response to patient safety events and patient feedback
  • Maintaining the care group's risk register, risk log, and CAF
  • Initiating investigations of complaints, liaising with appropriate team members, and preparing written documentation, including action plans

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Evidence of study or professional development to degree level or equivalent
  • RSII Typing qualification or equivalent
  • Specialist knowledge and training acquired through relevant experience in a similar role

Desirable qualifications include project management experience, root cause analysis experience, and experience in a governance or assurance role in the healthcare provider environment.
