**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSEQ Professional to join our team at Peterson. As a key member of our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

**About the Role**

In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to site management and existing HSEQ advisors. Your primary objective will be to achieve effective compliance to Peterson's HSEQ management system, as well as legal requirements and local MCOCL HSSEQ standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Support site management in achieving effective compliance to Peterson's HSEQ management system.
  • Train and coach site management on HSEQ procedures and legal regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client audits on site and ensure effective close-out of actions.
  • Lead internal and supplier audits according to established procedures, schedules, and plans.
  • Ensure timely feedback and effective closure of actions raised during audits.
  • Maintain compliance with MCOCL contractor HSSEQ requirements.
  • Continuously improve HSEQ performance through innovation and best practice implementation.
  • Provide guidance on incident reporting and action implementation to site management and supervisors.
  • Deliver comprehensive HSEQ inductions to new employees.
  • Create and maintain safety signage schedules.
  • Assist site management in environmental management.
  • Develop training packages on HSEQ topics.
  • Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes, lessons learned, and recommendations for prevention.
  • Act as ATLAS coordinator for corrective actions.
  • Intervene and conduct safety conversations as needed.
  • Travel to other Peterson sites as required.

**Performance Measurement**

Your performance will be reviewed regularly against objectives set during the appraisal process.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

  • Certified member of IOSH looking to achieve charted status.
  • NEBOSH diploma or NVQ level 5/6.
  • Auditor qualification.
  • Training experience/qualification to deliver IOSH courses.
  • Presentation skills and ability to develop presentation materials.
  • Good communication skills, including safety conversations and interventions.
  • Ability to research topics and provide effective guidance.
  • Ability to develop training packages and deliver training as required.
  • Risk, DSE, PUWER, Manual Handling assessor, and COSHH assessment training.
  • Previous experience in a safety role in logistics/warehousing.

**Desirable Qualifications**

  • ISO9001/14001/45001 lead auditor certificate/internal auditor training.

**Salary Range**

The estimated annual salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
