HSEQ Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join our dynamic team at James Fisher and Sons plc, a leading provider of comprehensive and trusted solutions to the offshore wind and renewables market.
About the Opportunity
As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the HSEQ Management System for our Renewables Product Line, ensuring exceptional levels of safety, environmental, product, and service conformance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with key legislation and guidance, maintaining awareness of new or changes to existing legislation, approved codes of practice, and industry guidance.
- Support the development of management improvement plans, monitoring, and implementation of HSEQ actions as required.
- Provide advice to employees and other interested parties on health, safety, welfare, environmental, and quality issues.
- Maintain certification to relevant standards and associations, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Promote awareness of site rules and controls, providing technical support where required to ensure compliance with site requirements.
- Collation of data for project and Product Line HSEQ KPI's and statistics.
- Oversight and support to the development of HSEQ documentation, plans, and inductions for new projects and personnel.
- Schedule, conduct, and report first and second-party audits.
- Carrying out site visits, inspections, and audits, including offshore worksites.
- Conducting supplier competence assessments and audits.
- Identification of additional HSEQ training needs for all personnel.
- Liaison with Site Supervisors, Technicians, and subcontractors on health, safety, environmental, welfare, and quality issues.
- Liaison with Client and client HSEQ departments during the planning and completion of operations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Attend and facilitate safety meetings, HIRAs, incident investigations, Cost of Poor Quality, and lessons learnt reviews as required.
- Ensure risk management is effectively implemented and monitor compliance.
- Reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents.
- Ensuring actions/NCRs raised are actioned and implemented as required.
- Provision of HSEQ input into the preparation of pre-qualification documents.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced HSEQ professional with a proven track record in a similar role and industry, who can hit the ground running and deliver HSEQ objectives.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and people management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong working knowledge of applicable laws and legislation, and a willingness to travel worldwide.
