Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, including high net worth individuals, private equity executives, entrepreneurs, and trusts.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional client service by maintaining strong relationships and providing proactive advisory support
- Manage day-to-day tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines
- Assist Partners and Directors in leading tax planning projects, including succession planning, capital gains, and inheritance tax matters
- Manage HMRC enquiries and disclosures, and handle correspondence related to compliance and advisory matters
- Oversee billing and budgeting processes
- Review and quality-assure compliance and advisory work prepared by junior team members
- Support the development of junior staff, including technical and personal development
- Present at technical training sessions and engage in business development activities
- Stay up-to-date with technical knowledge and industry developments
- Significant experience in a professional services firm, with a strong background in private client tax
- Sound knowledge of private client tax issues, including complex capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters
- Demonstrable experience in delivering tax planning and advisory projects
- People management and organisational experience
