About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Calibration Engineer / Lab Manager to join our team at our Derby site.

As a Senior Calibration Engineer / Lab Manager, you will be responsible for calibrating measuring instrumentation and repair facilities to both ISO9001 and UKAS standards. This includes, but is not limited to, Micrometres, Callipers, Height Gauges, Torque Wrenches, and Gauge Blocks. You will be expected to manage the maintenance of Calibration Certification records and traceability, as well as oversee the implementation of mandatory and legislative QHSE aspects of work.



Key Responsibilities
  • Calibrate measuring instrumentation and repair facilities to ISO9001 and UKAS standards.
  • Manage Calibration Certification records and traceability.
  • Oversee the implementation of mandatory and legislative QHSE aspects of work.
  • Lead the Calibration of specialist products.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of Calibration procedures.
  • Participate in external/internal audits as required.


Requirements
  • Technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC.
  • UKAS Dimensional signatory status.
  • Engineering background, ideally within the Aerospace Industry.
  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • In-depth understanding and implementation of 17025 Quality Systems.
  • Previous Management experience.
  • Strong communications skills both to internal teams and external customers.
