About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maths tutor to join our team. As a Maths tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons to adult learners, with a focus on GCSE and Functional Skills Maths. You will also have the opportunity to work with learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and deliver Maths sessions for our Family Learning department.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of Maths concepts and be able to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. You will also need to be able to motivate and support learners to achieve their Maths goals.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to adult learners
  • Develop and implement Maths programmes to meet the needs of learners
  • Work with learners with SEND to develop Maths skills
  • Deliver Maths sessions for our Family Learning department
  • Monitor and evaluate learner progress
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (Level 3 as a minimum)
  • A subject-specific qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with learners with SEND
