About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Tax Director to lead our Private Client team in the South Coast region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality private client tax advice and compliance services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Private Client team in the South Coast region, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service and high-quality tax advice.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and expansion in the private client market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and referral networks to identify new business opportunities.
- Manage tax risk within the private client portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality and risk procedures.
- Support the wider National private client tax teams in relation to complex issues arising across the team.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate the impact of these changes to clients and colleagues.
- Lead in driving forward learning and development for the Poole tax team, mentoring, training, and supporting team members.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Holds a relevant professional qualification, such as CTA or similar.
- Proven track record of building internal and external relationships and networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively impact and influence others.
- Broad and strong technical tax knowledge and expertise.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas.

- Takes ownership of projects, delegates effectively, and takes responsibility for quality control.
- Broad experience of managing financials on clients and adjusting the approach to advisory work depending on the budget.
