About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Supervisor to join our Technical Management team in Studios. As a Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing on-the-day technical ownership of productions, ensuring client confidence across all crafts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support and act as the key point-of-contact for engineering incidents affecting gallery and production operations.
  • Work closely with Studios craft teams across a range of Sky's innovative facilities and systems, including remote and cloud productions.
  • Set up galleries, studios, and equipment, ensuring visually and by ear that signal paths are correctly aligned.
  • Configure systems technically to broadcast standards and route internal and external sources, floor vision monitoring, and in-vision monitoring.
  • Match signals, color balance, and video levels by eye using the appropriate interfaces, measuring devices, and monitoring.
  • Develop, contribute to, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Possibility of travel to support OB technical rigs and operations.
Requirements:
  • Highly motivated, with a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
  • Positive and resilient with a strong work ethic.
  • Calm under pressure and collaborative.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of broadcast technology, developments, and techniques, including Remote Production and HDR.
  • Experience with broadcast standard equipment, including camera and replay systems, with good engineering skills.
  • Understanding of all aspects of studio/production gallery technical processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
