We are seeking a Senior Leader to join our team as a Group Manager, Office of the Regional Wayfinder. This is a key role in shaping the future of health in Aotearoa, and we are looking for someone with extensive experience in managing critical systems and processes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the team responsible for ensuring the Regional Commissioning Team operates as a high-performing business unit. This includes coordination functions such as business planning, reporting, risk management, ministerial servicing, and emergency planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business strategies and initiatives across the organization
  • Lead a team of highly skilled and engaged management and professional staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, while also supporting their wellbeing and development needs
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in managing critical systems and processes
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and developing business strategies
  • Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to apply its principles in a meaningful way
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
