Job Title: Senior Parkinson’s Lead Nurse

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Nurse to lead our Parkinson’s disease service. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and developing innovative services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Parkinson’s disease service, including direct line management of a team of specialist practitioners
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive care pathway for patients with advanced or complex Parkinson’s disease
  • Collaborate with regional partners to establish a network of Parkinson’s DAT nurses across the South West Peninsula
  • Provide clinical care and service development for the device-assisted therapies (DAT) service

Requirements:

  • First-level nurse qualification
  • ENB 998 (Teaching and Assessing in Clinical Practice/D33/D32) or equivalent
  • NMC registration
  • Masters degree in a related area
  • Independent non-medical prescribing
  • Proven experience in Parkinson’s care, including all aspects of care and disease stages
