Project Overview

The Unlocking Our Sound Heritage project aims to digitally preserve almost half a million endangered sound recordings from across the UK and make 100,000 available online. As a Catalogue Editor, you will play a crucial role in this ambitious initiative, working closely with the project team to deliver high-quality results.

About the Position:

  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive catalogue records and metadata for archive sound recordings
  • Support rights clearance activities to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of digital data workflows to support the project's goals

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., library science, archival studies, media studies)
  • Proven experience in cataloguing archive, library, or museum collections
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Salary: £28,400 - £31,980 per annum (including London Weighting), depending on performance and experience
