We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Children's Social Care team as a Social Care Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team that supports and protects Portsmouth's most vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process initial contacts and referrals from other agencies, including the Police, Probation, and Education.
  • Deal with correspondence, data entry, and telephone referrals.
  • Triage Education Health Care Plans and gather information for police meetings.
  • Use IT systems to interrogate information and complete admin tasks, and support Ofsted inspections.
Requirements
  • Experience working within Children's and/or Young People's Services.
  • Personal resilience and professionalism when exposed to explicit and emotionally challenging information.
  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to respond appropriately to enquiries from parents/carers.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence using IT systems to undertake admin tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, be flexible, and have good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good understanding of client confidentiality and data protection, including GDPR and Information Governance.
