Strategic Role in Water Network Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Water Network Engineer to join our team, focusing on tactical asset planning and supporting business planning initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of wastewater network processes, risks, and management strategies. They will work closely with our Asset Management Specialists to develop targeted solutions and drive the implementation of our asset management strategy.

This is a challenging role requiring strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills. As a Strategic Water Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting research, analysis, and project management of financial, risk, and project-related data to inform key investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse complex wastewater network challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement our asset management strategy.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment, to evaluate potential solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive solution proposals, including implementation plans, resource requirements, and expected outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex wastewater network data.
  • Strong understanding of wastewater network processes, risks, and management strategies.
  • Experience in implementation and delivery of projects at project or portfolio level (including PMO) would be beneficial.
  • Strong project management skills, with an interest in cost-benefit analysis and business case development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Location: This role is within the wastewater networks infrastructure element of the Severn Trent Value Chain.

Estimated Salary: £48,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience.
