Project Engineer - Facilities Management
£45k Plus overtime and excellent benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a National Facilities Management company at one of their prestigious clients' sites who are experiencing significant growth.

Salary: £45k plus overtime and excellent benefits.

  5. On call allowance - 1 in 4, £75 per week, minimum of 4 hours

Location:
Hours of work: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with commercial / technical / operational management to develop contractor lists and develop new business prospects.
  2. Work with the Contracts Manager, prepare annual business plans identifying opportunities and development of the small project's operations.
  3. Preparation of programmes, method statements and risk assessments.
  4. Procure labour / materials and sub-contractors in accordance with buying procedures ensuring waste and costs are minimised.
  5. Liaise with Management, keep them informed of contract progress and issues that may affect the running of the contract.
  6. Based upon current and projected project activity, develop an in house cost effective and multi skilled team of Technicians.
  7. Management and close supervision of Staff and sub-contractors.
  8. Knowledgeable and up to date in matters relating to Health and Safety and statutory requirements including CDM Regulations ensuring compliant at all times.
  9. Maintain accurate project administration files and costs (financial records).

The successful candidate:

  1. Extensive experience in a Project Engineering or Senior Electricians role
  2. Knowledge of key operational management disciplines, e.g., quality control, work planning methods and Health & Safety practices
  3. Capable of managing multiple projects
  4. IT literacy (word processing, spreadsheets and project management tools)
  5. Valid full driving licence
  6. Ability to gain SC clearance (supported by site)
  7. Educated to HNC / HND Standard (or equivalent)
