Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Openwork Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established professional to provide effective risk-based second-line compliance services across the wealth, mortgage, and protection channels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing compliance consultancy to senior management and their direct reports, ensuring that business owners maintain an appropriate control framework for delivery of commercial objectives.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Swindon office, where you will work closely with the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, Channel Heads, and Executive Committee to drive ownership, accountability, and timely completion of actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Head of Compliance: Develop and deliver the Compliance Plan, outlining a programme of risk-based compliance assurance activities.
  • Monitoring and Assurance: Undertake a variety of monitoring and assurance activities, including compliance-based audits and risk assessments focused on systems and controls.
  • Advisory Role: Advise Channel Heads and senior management on recommended control improvements, driving ownership and accountability.
  • Compliance Consultancy: Provide compliance consultancy to key stakeholders at all levels, managing conduct risk and supporting a customer-centric culture.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Work with senior management to balance commercial objectives with regulatory responsibilities under the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR).
