Audit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Assistant Manager to join our team in St Albans. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for planning, performing, and completing audits for clients with turnovers up to £350 million.
Key Responsibilities- Project managing the audit process, liaising with clients to ensure progress and resolve any issues
- Ensuring audits are completed with minimal supervision, on time, and within budget
- Supervising, training, and assisting junior staff with technical accounting and auditing challenges
- Preparing draft statutory accounts and consolidated accounts under FRS102, IFRS, and FRS101
- Drafting recommendations for management improvements based on audit findings
- Preparing responses for group reporting where the firm is the component auditor
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction
- Contribute to the firm's growth by delivering consistent, high-quality audit and advisory services

- At least 2 years of experience in a practice of similar size, with a strong audit background
- Technical proficiency in accounting and auditing standards, with the ability to tackle complex issues
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and staff
- Experience with controls-based audits and the ability to handle challenging audit assignments
- Organisational and commercial awareness, with a passion for delivering quality work
