We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safeguarding Officer to join our dedicated team at New College Swindon.
The successful candidate will work closely with students to provide pastoral support and develop personal resilience strategies, acting as a Deputy to the Safeguarding Manager and supporting the Designated Teacher.
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted support to students, addressing their individual needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with the Safeguarding Team to ensure effective referral systems and allocation of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student activities and interventions.
- Offer guidance and support to staff members who have concerns about students.
- Participate in Personal Progression Officer (Designated Teacher) meetings to ensure student well-being.
- Ensure the appropriate use of lanyards and ID badges to manage access to the college site.
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Safeguarding.
- Proven experience in Safeguarding, Child Protection, Youth Work/Justice, Social Services, or Counselling.
- Knowledge of referral systems and protocols.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
