Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Swindon.

Role Purpose

Act as a senior member of the safeguarding team, overseeing safeguarding referrals, deputizing for the Head of Safeguarding, and supervising Safeguarding Coordinators. Provide targeted interventions to address day-to-day or long-term challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide pastoral support to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, behavior, mental health, and safeguarding concerns.
  2. Handle safeguarding referrals and liaise with external agencies.
  3. Maintain accurate records of student support activities and safeguarding actions in systems.
  4. Support looked-after children and young carers by ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.
  5. Supervise and support Safeguarding Coordinators, managing workloads, priorities, and ensuring cases are properly closed.
Requirements
  1. Experience of working in a Safeguarding/Child Protection role.
  2. At least 3 years working in related fields.
