Job Title: Salaried General Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salaried General Practitioner to join our team at Westgate Surgery. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services to our patients, working autonomously and collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the GMS contract and will be able to deliver an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the contract. You will be responsible for managing your own patient list, delivering enhanced services, and contributing to the achievement of QOF targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical services to patients, including routine consultations, examinations, and treatments.
  • Manage patient records, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
  • Participate in the covering of duty doctor sessions on a rotational basis.
  • Offer generic prescribing, adhering to local and national guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with the practice team and wider PCN team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  • National Performers List registration.
  • Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU).
  • Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
  • General understanding of the GMS contract.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Clear, polite telephone manner.
  • Effective time management (planning and organising).
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
