Supply Chain Quality Manager

Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Quality Manager to join their team. As a key member of the procurement department, you will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet the required quality standards.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement supplier quality management processes to meet procurement goals.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier performance using established metrics and KPIs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement among suppliers through data-driven management.
- Communicate quality standards and initiatives effectively with global functional departments.
- Support and execute supplier qualification activities in line with global business management procedures.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies such as 6 Sigma and 8D, and familiarity with 5S and Lean principles.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and presentation software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to present and train effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of core manufacturing and inspection processes such as forging, fabrication, machining, coating, welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
- Understanding of how industry and regulatory standards interact with customer requirements.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills to manage a diverse workload effectively.
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate improvement projects.
- Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO45001, and API Q1 audit processes, both as an auditor and an auditee.
Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
