Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving health and safety compliance and practices within the logistics, warehousing, ports/shipping, manufacturing or transport sectors.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £47,500, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including matched pension contributions up to 8%, 25 days of annual leave (increasing with service), healthcare plan, discounted gym memberships, retail discounts, and more.

Key Responsibilities

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the organisation complies with all health and safety regulations and best practices. This will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health and safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work. The role also requires providing practical training and education to employees, conducting regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and driving corrective action, collaborating with managers to integrate safety processes into everyday operations, and developing and monitoring health and safety performance metrics and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need a recognised health and safety qualification, demonstrable experience in a health and safety role within the specified sectors, and a pragmatic and adaptable approach to health and safety management.
