About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled VP, Global Regulatory Operations to join our team at Bandwidth Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our global regulatory operations and help drive the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of communications law matters, including regulatory compliance, contract support, and global communication service management.
  • Lead and manage a geographically dispersed team of legal professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success and alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including executives, business units, and cross-functional teams, to manage U.S. and global regulatory issues.
  • Support Bandwidth's go-to-market strategies by providing guidance and support for global regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Bandwidth's Global Public Policy team to oversee the implementation of regulatory policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate risks to support Bandwidth's communications services in jurisdictions around the globe.
  • Manage external legal counsel on a global scale.
  • Stay current on industry trends, legislative developments, and emerging legal issues impacting the telecommunications sector to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant legal experience with a focus on U.S. and international communications law, preferably in a public company setting.
  • Proven experience managing legal teams in a global environment, with a strong ability to foster collaboration and drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across diverse cultures.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide sound legal advice in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances with a solutions-oriented approach.
