Job Title: Transport Manager

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead our logistics team in Stowmarket. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a fleet of 60 vehicles, with a team of 3 planners reporting to them.

The company has ambitious growth plans, aiming to expand the fleet to over 100 vehicles within the next two years. We are looking for a skilled Transport Manager to spearhead this project and take responsibility for the transport function of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workload of the logistics department, planning routes and the performance of the driving team.
  • Oversee the transport function, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead a team of planners and drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the fleet.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transport management, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Valid driving license and CPC qualification.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus a 10% bonus and company car.
