Job Description:

  1. Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct PET-CT scans and other nuclear medicine imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  2. Patient Care: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  3. Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Safely handle and administer radiopharmaceuticals, following all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  4. Image Quality Control: Operate imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, and perform quality control checks to ensure optimal image quality.
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, document procedures, and assist in the preparation of diagnostic reports.
  6. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  7. Clinical Governance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards.
  8. Teamwork: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

We are looking for an individual with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field, registration or classification through The Register of Clinical Technologists (the RCT) or the HCPC, and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in PET-CT and nuclear medicine imaging.
