Overview:

BAE Systems (New) is committed to innovation and excellence in the development of complex systems. Our Maritime Services Team is responsible for providing end-to-end solutions for warship availability, equipment and facilities management, training, product development, and through-life support for radar, torpedoes, and small boats. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying growing systems engineering knowledge and skills to requirements elicitation, design, development, performance assessment, integration, acceptance, and support. This includes working under close technical supervision as part of a system design team, discerning and decomposing requirements to system and sub-system level, undertaking system design, and assisting with system integration and testing.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Maths, Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a similarly aligned engineering degree. You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, and proficiency in relevant toolsets such as IBM DOORS Next and MATLAB/Simulink. In addition, you must be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment, communicate complex ideas clearly, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
