Vetro Recruitment is seeking an experienced Music Teacher to work in a secondary school in Aberdare. The ideal candidate will be able to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 learners and become a part of the Music team from day one.

The role is for 5 days per week, teaching Year 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes. This is a part-time opportunity with flexible working hours to suit the candidate’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and planning schemes of work where required
  • Delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Engaging learners with both classroom and lab-based activities

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of Music teaching experience
  • Holding Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
  • Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council)
  • References covering the last two years
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
