About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Beer and Cider Buyer to join our team at Ocado Retail Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal supply base and product range for our Beer and Cider categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Analyse data and insights to inform purchasing decisions and drive sales, profitability, and share growth.
- Source customer and market insight-led ranges and product innovation.
- Negotiate with suppliers to agree and deliver joint business plans aligned to the customer plan and category strategy.
- Plan and deliver trade, promotions, and events plans to drive customer penetration and basket spend.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in a buying role, preferably in the beer and cider industry.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Good commercial acumen and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
- Results-oriented and a team player with a strong work ethic.
