About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) to join our team at HMP Lewes, a category B Prison. As a Substance Misuse Nurse, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritizing patient care to develop individualized packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.

Our ideal candidate will have a real passion for developing their clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You will deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the center of our healthcare wellbeing model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans, and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • A valid UK driving license and the ability to travel within the UK.
  • A strong understanding of substance misuse and its effects on individuals and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
