Main Area: Electrical Expertise

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Transformation Unit. As a key member of our Estates team, you will be responsible for performing semi-skilled maintenance tasks and checks, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks for Electrical systems to ensure our buildings and grounds adhere to statutory compliance and are fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks and checks on Electrical systems, including PPM checks, to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
  2. Install, maintain, service, and repair Electrical equipment and systems across all areas of responsibility.
  3. Act as a Competent Person in Electrical systems, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and codes of practice.
  4. Build relationships with stakeholders, including Site Service Managers, QTS staff, and external service providers, to support the delivery of services in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with experience working within a facilities/maintenance environment.
  • City and Guilds Electrical Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification, and Health and Safety certificate.
  • Proven experience of working in a customer-oriented environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use CAFM systems and handheld technology, with a sound knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and codes of practice.
